Professional statement

I treat a range of conditions including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. My preferred treatment approach is person-centered and considers various factors such as nutrition, movement, and lifestyle habits. Medications are one valuable tool in addressing mental health concerns. However, I also believe in partnering with clients to integrate therapeutic approaches to care. My preferred therapeutic approaches integrate CBT, Bowen Family Systems Theory, play therapy, and solution focused therapy.

I have over 5 years of inpatient experience as a mental health nurse working at University of North Carolina Medical Center in crisis-stabilization, perinatal mood disorders, and geropsychiatry. In 2023, I graduated with my Masters degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My experience ranges from treating adult through geriatric populations. I also have over two years of experience as a provider treating individuals in geriatric mental health.

Message to clients

My goal is to provide patients with the knowledge and tools that they need to meet their personal wellness goals. Mental health drives our overall well-being. I see the impact mental health has on not only an individual but on an entire family unit. By providing optimal care, mental illness does not have to be immobilizing. As a mental health nurse and provider, I have seen how people can regain their lives and take control when given proper mental health care. Unfortunately, accessibility to mental health care remains a problem for much of the country. I have been motivated to support the mental health of my community and help individuals get the care they need.
