There are times that we need to open our consciousness, to feel ourselves guided, protected, supported, and upheld in our lives, and depth therapy is this remarkable process that creates internal growth that mirrors the therapeutic relationship. Especially through working with dreams, therapy can initiate a change process that heals, vivifies, and leads from the client's own inborn potentials- potentials which may seem elusive at the start of the journey. The process of a course of depth therapy can support finding a deep well of strength and internal support. Please feel welcome to reach out and ask questions!
Beginning with my own 17 year Jungian analysis, I have used a depth therapy approach to help clients utilize the symbolic messages of their dreams for growth, healing and guidance. I also incorporate somatic approaches and practical tools to help clients work with and care for their full psyche (believing that body is psyche too).
I am a level 1 (PTSD) and 2 (Complex PTSD) Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist, with 5 years dedicated to working with trauma survivors; I am an affiliate therapist at the CG Jung Center in Illinois, and have training and experience in working with severe mental distress conditions, shame, anxiety, psychotic states and fears, and high sensitivity.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Relationship issues - Understanding one’s wants and needs in relationships; exploring patterns of interaction, addressing concerns, and strengthening satisfaction in relationships and dating
Self-esteem - Cultivating self-compassion, assertiveness, and confidence; developing ways to reduce suffering, anxiety, social withdrawal, and self-neglect
Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) - Recovering from the impact of long-term, repeated traumatic events, such as emotional abuse and neglect
Sensitivity - Developing an understanding of one’s sensitivity, including exploring what triggers emotional reactions and the origins of the sensitivity; practicing self-compassion by acknowledging that everyone has emotions and it’s natural to react to what’s around you
Shame - Exploring how shame shows up in one’s life and the origins of this shame, especially in specific situations or environments; processing through this shame and developing an empowerment to feel less ashamed in daily life
