Professional statement

Caitlin is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and certified Perinatal Mental Health specialist (PMH-C) with nearly a decade of experience supporting women. Caitlin specializes in working with women across the perinatal continuum, from preconception and pregnancy through postpartum recovery and beyond. Her clients are navigating a range of experiences: the emotional complexity of a new or evolving identity in motherhood, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, the relational strain that often accompanies major life transitions, pregnancy and infant loss, and the cumulative toll of fertility treatment. Many arrive having already managed these challenges largely on their own. Caitlin's practice offers a dedicated space to address them with clinical depth and genuine support.

Caitlin takes an evidence-based, solution-oriented approach to treatment. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and CBT for insomnia. She integrates these modalities thoughtfully based on each client's presentation and goals. Her aim is not simply to provide a space for reflection, but to equip clients with concrete skills and frameworks that translate into meaningful, lasting change. Sessions are collaborative and structured with progress in mind.

Caitlin ran her own solo practice before beginning Era Psychotherapy, a group that specializes in perinatal mental health. Caitlin offers virtual sessions to clients in MA, NY, CT, and RI. She sees clients on weekdays between 9am and 3pm.

Message to clients

Becoming a mother, or trying to, changes everything. The sleeplessness, the identity shifts, the relationships that look different than they used to. The grief that shows up right alongside the love. None of it is what the books or maybe even your friends promised, and most of it is harder to talk about than anyone warned you. I know so much of this not just as a professional, but personally as well. Getting to therapy while managing this season of life takes effort, and I don't take that lightly. If you've found your way here, I'd be glad to walk with you from here.

Our work together will be warm, but it will also be intentional. I'll be an active partner in your progress; asking questions, offering frameworks, and at times gently challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My hope is that you leave each session with something tangible, even when the material we're covering is heavy. I take your time seriously, and I take your goals seriously.

More than anything, I hope you'll allow yourself to receive support right now. So much of this period of life is about giving. Giving to a baby, a partner, a family, a pregnancy that demands everything from your body and heart. Carving out this space for yourself is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and for the people you love. I'm grateful you're here, and I look forward to working with you.
