Practice Information

To this day, there is still a stigma surrounding mental health and asking for help when you may be struggling. Life can be a complicated mess and often our own beliefs about the world can make things even more difficult. Whether you are going through a new life challenge or working towards lifelong goals, together we can create a plan for success.

My approach to counseling is that everyone is an expert in their own lives, but from time to time we need support from others to make effective changes. Identifying and building upon your strengths is an important tool in improving your life just as much as working on your weaknesses can be.

FAQS

What are your practice's specialties?

During sessions, I will approach treatment from a DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) stance which emphasizes regulation of thoughts and emotions so that you are able to reduce anxieties while being able to live in the moment. Although I have experience tackling many areas of concern, I find that I can be the most impactful in the areas of depression, anxiety, finding purpose, substance abuse, stages of life, men’s issues, and establishing boundaries in relationships.

How does payment work at your practice?

At First Light Counseling PLLC, we are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Harvard Pilgrim, and Tufts. If you do not have one of these listed, fee for services is $150 but are able to provide a superbill to you in order to obtain out of network reimbursement.

What services does your practice offer?

First Light Counseling PLLC providers individual therapy via Telehealth.
