Why should I choose your practice?

Mary Ellen has been supporting individuals and families since 2009, with emphasis on improving each day, each relationship and finding hope for the future. She recognizes that good mental health services can be difficult to access and works to connect with her local community and reduce the mystery and stigma around counseling support. If we can't place you at LCC we hope to point you in the right direction--the search shouldn't be that hard!

At Longmont Counseling Center we are an out-of-network practice. Services through Lyra EAP and Longmont City First Responders Grant are available. Scholarship services available for intern-level clinicians.

Adoption & foster care - Support around pre- and post-adoption challenges including family dynamics, challenging behaviors, attachment issues, and navigation of the child welfare system or adoption agencies

Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)

Child mental health - Specialized strategies for common childhood disorders including attention issues, attachment problems, behavioral disorders, learning disorders, autism spectrum diagnoses, and feeding or elimination issues.

Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life

Spirituality & religion - Exploring beliefs and practices related to meaning, existence, and spiritual health and healing; enjoying a deeper felt connection with the spiritual dimension of one's life

Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
