Our clinicians welcome kids, adolescents, adults, and populations such as first responders, military, veterans, and LGBT+. Our clinicians specialize in sand and play therapy, polyvagal therapy, trauma focused, neurobiology of trauma, brain spotting, dialectical behavior therapy, and cognitive behavior therapy. We are a unique group of clinicians, 7-12 years of experience, who work to help client's feel understood and heard. Client's are referred to a clinician who can best help their presenting issue-as we feel this is very important for the therapeutic process.
The Lighted Path is a private practice offering mental health services in-person in Edgewood, New Mexico and online in New Mexico. We offer kid, adolescent, and individual therapy sessions.
The clinicians at The Lighted Path specialize in a variety of areas including, bi-polar, borderline personality disorder, ocd, anxiety, adhd, depression, grief, and trauma.
The Lighted Path is unique in that all our clinicians have extensive training in trauma, depression, and anxiety.
At The Lighted Path, we accept Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Presbyterian, United, and Molina health insurances. If you do not have one of these health insurances, our fees range from $100-$150 depending on the provider and service offered. We are happy to verify your insurance for co-pays, deductibles, and submit claims on your behalf directly to your insurance company.
Anxiety - Coping with excessive worry, nervousness, or stress; intense discomfort in social settings (social anxiety); sudden and intense feelings of panic (panic disorder)
Borderline personality disorder - Increasing insight into relational patterns and destructive behaviors; development of coping strategies for uncomfortable emotions or situations; skills for emotional identification and regulation.
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
Loss, grief, and bereavement - Emotionally preparing for the anticipated passing of a loved one; managing feelings and reactions to a death or loss of significance; support during the process of healing and acceptance
Trauma - Coping and healing after threatening or scary events, such as witnessing accidents or experiencing sexual, verbal, emotional, or physical abuse
Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) - Recovering from the impact of long-term, repeated traumatic events, such as emotional abuse and neglect
