Professional statement

Angela Siclari, APRN is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in South Florida. She specializes in the treatment of psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorders, forensic psychology and treatment-resistant disorders.

Angela Siclari, APRN began her journey after graduating with her Bachelor’s of Nursing Science at Florida Atlantic University. Angela knew that the clientele she truly loved working with were those who were struggling with their mental health. Angela worked immediately upon graduation at a Level 1 Trauma hospital to treat patients within inpatient psychiatry, for both adults and children. She also works in the psychiatric emergency room, acts as charge nurse and works with medical units to consult with medical-psychiatric patients. Once Angela graduated from Florida International University with her Master’s of Nursing Science as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she began working at a residential facility. At this facility, she treated every type of patient, including those with complex disorders and forensic histories.

Angela continues to work in both places as she loves spending her time helping patients, learning their personal stories and their background, and understanding behavior. Angela is a dedicated practitioner who aims to improve and diminish symptoms. Angela is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice with her thesis focusing on reducing workplace violence within inpatient psychiatry.

Angela APRN is committed to help patients with any problems they may have, through mindfulness, buddhist knowledge and medication management.

Message to clients

Before you begin your journey with me, I want you to know that everything said will be respected, valued and held safe with me. This is a judgment-free zone! I have seen almost every kind of disorder and treatment modality during my time working in psychiatry. Yes, I have (almost) seen it all. The first step towards treatment and recovery can be daunting, however, I will be with you every step of the way.

As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I genuinely do not believe in diagnoses, but rather treating the symptoms associated. There are no labels here. Mental health, and the brain, is complex. There are many layers, whether it be neurotransmitter disturbances, brain injuries, past-learned behaviors or distressing events — these can all contribute to a disruption in your mental health.

My greatest hope for you is to feel that you have someone on YOUR side who will listen, advocate and collaborate with you to ensure all of your needs are met. This can include medication management as well. Healing is not a linear path, but rather a rollercoaster, a rollercoaster I will be next to you on. I am excited to begin this journey together!
