Professional statement

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, trauma, or simply struggling to feel like yourself again, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I believe mental health care should feel safe, collaborative, and personalized—not rushed.

I’m Marian Idahosa, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy for children, adolescents, and adults (ages 5+). I offer thoughtful, closely monitored medication management while considering the whole person—mind, body, lifestyle, and emotional wellbeing.

With years of experience across outpatient psychiatry, inpatient mental health, substance use treatment, and nursing home settings, I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma/PTSD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. My goal is to help clients gain symptom relief, improve daily functioning, and feel more in control of their lives.

My approach is warm, direct, evidence-based, and supportive. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that fits your needs and helps you move toward lasting wellness.

I provide virtual psychiatric care throughout Rhode Island, making quality mental health treatment more accessible and convenient.

Taking the first step can feel difficult—but reaching out is a powerful place to begin.

Message to clients

Seeking mental health support can feel intimidating, especially if you’re unsure about medications, worried about being judged, or simply exhausted from trying to manage everything on your own. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being honest about your experiences, concerns, and goals without fear of judgment.

I believe treatment works best when it is collaborative. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, mood changes, or feeling overwhelmed by life, I will work with you to understand your symptoms, explore treatment options, and develop a plan tailored to your needs. If medication becomes part of your care, I prioritize thoughtful prescribing, close monitoring, and ongoing support so you feel informed and involved throughout the process.

My hope is that clients leave appointments feeling heard, supported, and more confident about their path forward. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but you do not have to navigate it alone.
