Professional statement

Dr. Curran is a Physician Psychiatrist who is double board-certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has been in solo practice for 3 decades. She has extensive training and expertise in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations that precede in depth weekly psychodynamic psychotherapy. She endorses the thoughtful use of medications when they support the work in therapy with her. At Tufts University in Boston and Walter Reed Medical Center, she was trained in comprehensive evaluation/diagnosis and a broad range of psychotherapies and psychiatric treatments.

Dr. Curran works with those who wish to gain a deeper understanding of themselves through psychotherapy to create meaningful changes in their lives. She listens thoughtfully and openly, exploring various dimensions of her patients' experience. Over time she builds a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship.

She’s been in private clinical practice since 1997 and meets with patients in telehealth sessions across Massachusetts at this time. Please contact her to set up an initial session to answer your questions about what she has to offer.

Message to clients

Change comes from understanding ourselves more deeply. My specialty is psychodynamic psychotherapy with the option of conservative and judicious use of medications. By helping you uncover the roots of emotional difficulties, you can create lasting growth - not just find temporary relief. Together, we’ll explore how your life experiences have shaped your relationships and work toward better balance in your life.

If this approach resonates with you, I invite you to reach out to me!

I am out of network for all insurance companies, so I provide a superbill. You directly pay my fee to me at each session. Also note that I don't participate with Medicare or Medicaid/Masshealth.
