Dr. Abrah Sprung is a highly sought-after licensed clinical psychologist with over three decades of expertise in the field. She specializes in advanced Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma therapy. Dr. Sprung is among a limited number of clinicians in the world practicing EMDR who have met the rigorous advanced training and expertise standards required to earn the designation of EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapist & Approved Consultant (clinical supervision-level expertise). In addition to providing therapy, she also provides consultation for other EMDR clinicians seeking to advance their skills.
Dr. Sprung uses a depth-oriented integrative approach weaving EMDR with Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, and Relational Therapy.
Her areas of clinical focus include complex trauma (PTSD/C-PTSD), childhood and relationship wounds, attachment and relational patterns, chronic stress, life transitions, caregiver stress, grief and loss, and health and medical trauma. These are issues that often involve trauma and overwhelm, and as a result, need more than traditional talk therapy, coping tools, surface-level symptoms management or a single therapy modality treatment alone.
Dr. Sprung specializes in work with high-functioning adults who are looking for deep healing and lasting transformation. Her approach is best-suited for those interested in getting to the root of their issues, examining the foundations, releasing invisible burdens, and experiencing the profound shifts that happen with this kind of work.
Dr. Sprung's office is located in Englewood, NJ, and is convenient to both Bergen County, NJ, and Rockland County, NY. Most sessions are conducted via telehealth across NJ, NY and all 40+ PSYPACT states.
