Alicia Harris, M.Ed., LPC, is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist specializing in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, Brainspotting, Pre-Verbal Trauma, and Emotional Parts Work. She helps adults resolve traumas that have led to depression, anxiety, panic attacks, dissociation, and PTSD Symptoms. Her approach is evidence-based, compassionate, and engaging.
Alicia currently sees clients for Therapy Intensives (3 hours of therapy at a time) or weekly 60 minute sessions. She is available both online or in her beautiful office in the Village of Clarkston, MI. Alicia is described by her therapy graduates as warm, compassionate, and highly skilled. Alicia earned a Master's Degree in Counseling from The University of Maryland, 1997. While completing this 50 credit hour program, Alicia was twice named a Rehabilitation Services Administration Scholar, and received a Maryland Senatorial Scholarship based on academic excellence. Her Bachelor of Arts degree is from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor Campus, 1991.
Alicia has received advanced training from leaders in the field of trauma, including Bessel van der Kolk, Ricky Greenwald, Janina Fisher, Jamie Marich, and Deb Del Vecchio-Scully, among others. Alicia maintains membership in EMDRIA and regularly attends conferences and trainings for continuing education.
