Her clients may sound a lot like you.

A medical social worker with years of experience in hospice, she understands the strain of chronic illness & disease. It changes everything about life—physically, emotionally, mentally & spiritually. She uses Pain Reprocessing Therapy & EAET to help retrain the brain & reduce pain signals. She weaves in EMDR, IFS, tapping, CBT, mindfulness & Buddhist psychology. Her sessions are practical, gentle & intentionally designed to be useful. She is grounded in science, but even more in being human. Clients can expect ease, education, connection, practice & plenty of laughter.

Allison brings warmth & authenticity to her work. She supports caregivers & people grieving all types of loss—including pregnancy, child, limb, ability, suicide, pet, divorce & faith. She currently has a growing interest in supporting men with chronic pain & heavy work-related stress.

Message to clients

Hi there! I'm so sorry you're here, but so glad you found me. I know you hurt, so I want you to know right away: I can help. I know what to do.

Chronic pain & illness is rarely just physical. My clients also hurt emotionally. Irritable & moody. Anxious & panicked. Sad & depressed.

Not feeling good lowers your energy, sours relationships, strains your mental state, limits options & choices. Head-to-toe pain understandably takes over a day :( Its exhausting, frustrating, nauseating & restless. My clients are afraid things will never get better, or get worse. There is a lot of grief—for the life they've lost & hopelessly want back.

Many clients come to me after years of symptoms, flare-ups & searching for answers. The hopelessness feels real & it can be easy to spiral. Navigating the medical system can make it worse—especially when no one can say what's wrong.

As a fellow traveler, I get it. I also suffer. I've spent years learning from wise mentors, doctors & teachers about how to be with pain. I'm trained in the modalities that work, & most importantly, I work from a place of human connection. I’m here to share & practice with you what we all know to work & I believe in your recovery.

I'm here for you with more than hope. I can show you what to do. You don’t have to do this alone.

Warmly,

Allison
