Professional statement

I’m Dr. Allyson Baker — an Occupational Therapist dedicated to helping people live fuller, more liberated lives. I provide affirming, trauma- and gender-informed care for individuals of all ages through a fully virtual (Telehealth) model. I am licensed in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, New York and Washington.

Many of the people I work with are navigating burnout, life transitions, chronic stress, or changes in daily functioning. Others seek support with executive functioning, sensory regulation, motivation, or rebuilding routines that support well-being. Whether you’re adjusting to a new job, recovering from prolonged stress, struggling to keep up with daily tasks, or trying to reconnect with activities that once mattered to you- OT can help you create a life that works with your brain, not against it.

I aim to create a supportive, grounded space where you can show up authentically and feel empowered to grow.

What is Occupational Therapy (OT)?

OT is a holistic, client-centered approach that helps people engage in the meaningful activities—called occupations—that shape everyday life. These include daily living tasks, school or work, play and leisure, social connection, and routines that support mental and physical health.

Occupational therapy looks at the whole person and the environments they live in-home, community, and even online-so that people can overcome barriers and fully participate in what matters most.

Whether it’s building focus and executive functioning, improving social skills, returning to meaningful activities after illness or injury, creating routines that support mental health, or accessing gender-affirming care, OT empowers people of all ages and abilities to live life on their own terms.
