Alyssa Desroches is an LCSW/LICSW who works with neurodivergent adults who are intelligent, capable, and often running on empty. Many of her clients are professional women, parents, or perfectionists who have spent years holding everything together while quietly navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, or burnout. In therapy, Alyssa offers a space where clients can finally lower the mask, feel deeply understood, and begin creating a life that truly fits, without constant self-criticism or pressure to “do more.”
Alyssa’s approach is collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming, and grounded in the belief that there is nothing broken about how your brain works. She integrates trauma-informed care, EMDR, mindfulness, and parts work to help clients process overwhelm, reconnect with themselves, and develop practical strategies to support daily life. Therapy often centers on understanding sensory and emotional needs, interrupting burnout cycles, and building systems rooted in compassion rather than shame.
With over a decade of experience, Alyssa brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to her work with neurodivergent adults. She is passionate about helping clients untangle internalized “shoulds,” reconnect with their strengths, and build self-trust in a world that is not always designed with them in mind.
Alyssa’s private practice is based in Newington, Connecticut, and she provides online therapy for adults throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. All sessions are fully virtual to support flexibility, accessibility, and the realities of busy lives. Alyssa is currently accepting new clients for neurodiversity-affirming therapy and adult ADHD evaluations.
