Anna specializes in working with people who are grappling with cultural identification and seeking self-acceptance. Her clients are often from immigrant or culturally influenced backgrounds, where discussing mental health issues may seem strange or unwelcome. These individuals may feel torn between their aspirations and familial or cultural expectations. Anna creates space for clients to find belongingness and define their sense of self.
Anna's therapeutic approach leads with curiosity and collaboration as she learns about each client’s unique path. She invites exploration of past and present experiences that influence relationships and self-image, offering space to work through family, friendship, and romantic dynamics. By weaving in tools for managing stress, improving communication, and regulating emotions, Anna helps clients build skills they can carry into everyday life.
Anna leads with respect, empathy, and cultural sensitivity in her work. She believes that therapy should be a collaborative process in which clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to make positive changes. Through this process, many of her clients develop greater clarity, strengthen their identity, and begin to feel more confident in their ability to move forward with authenticity and self-assurance.
To begin therapy, clients complete a small packet of intake forms. The intake team will help find a mutually agreeable time for weekly sessions. Pending availability, most clients are able to start therapy within a week of initial outreach. The first session with Anna will be an intake, during which additional information is gathered to lay the foundation for deep, holistic therapeutic work. This first session is also a chance for the client to assess the therapist for “fit.” All sessions are virtual and occur within a safe connection, and clients are expected to be alone in a private space to protect their privacy.
