Professional statement

Anna Stewart is a licensed art therapist specializing in supporting women of color and high-achieving professionals who experience anxiety, stress, and health-related worries. Her clients often seek relief from identity-based stress, burnout, depression, grief, ADHD, and life transitions. She provides a safe, culturally aware space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they explore their emotions and life challenges.

Anna’s approach is collaborative, client-centered, and creative. She integrates art therapy with trauma-informed, mindfulness-based, and psychodynamic techniques to help clients gain insight into their thoughts, emotions, and body sensations. Creativity is used as a tool for self-expression, exploration, and personal growth, but no prior art experience is required. Sessions focus on building emotional resilience, clarity, and practical strategies to navigate daily life with confidence.

Anna earned her Master’s in Art Therapy and holds licensure as an LCAT. She has worked with adults across New York in community mental health settings and private practice. Her training emphasizes mind-body approaches, trauma-informed care, and expressive therapies, allowing her to support clients in developing lasting insight, coping strategies, and self-awareness.

Anna provides virtual sessions for clients across New York State. Sessions are fully remote, making therapy accessible and flexible for adults with busy schedules. She works collaboratively to create personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and preferences, helping them build resilience, confidence, and a sense of calm in their daily lives.

Message to clients

When you work with me, you can expect a space that is open, collaborative, and supportive. Our first step is a consultation call where you can share what’s been on your mind, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. This is also a chance to ask me any questions about my approach, so you can decide whether we might be a good fit.

Together, we’ll make scheduling, paperwork, and payment as simple as possible. After the consultation, you’ll receive a secure link to complete your client profile and any necessary forms. You’ll also get confirmation and a calendar link for our first session.

My hope for each client is that they feel seen, supported, and empowered. Some people come to work through mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, or stress, while others seek guidance in professional or personal growth. Whatever your focus, I aim to create a process that is grounding, creative, and growth-oriented, helping you gain insight, build resilience, and move toward lasting change.
