Dr. Lachman is a New York State, D.C. and NJ licensed clinical psychologist, receiving his Ph.D. in 2012. His training included the Palo Alto Veterans Administration in the traumatic brain injury unit and Stanford University School of Medicine: psychiatry department in schizophrenia. He did his postdoctoral training in nursing and rehabilitation homes throughout NYC, treating individuals with comorbid chronic health issues, dementia, and psychiatric diagnoses. Afterward he completed two years of advanced psychoanalytic coursework at the NYU Postdoctoral Psychoanalytic Program, learning to take a depth relationship oriented approach to anxiety, depression, and PTSD. While building his private practice Dr. Lachman furthered his experience and training with chronic pain and psychedelic assisted therapies. He became a MAPS certified study rater for MDMA clinical research trials and completed Fluence's Ketamine Assisted Therapy program.
Dr. Lachman approaches every patient from the perspective that difficulties in life inevitably arise and that not only can each be guided to overcome their conflicts, but have the potential to develop, grow, and flourish.
