Professional statement

Becky VanDenburgh specializes in working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. She has a particular focus on individuals healing from developmental trauma, mother-daughter wounds, and emotional neglect. Becky also offers support to those seeking EMDR therapy to process difficult memories, reduce distress, and reconnect with their sense of self.

Her treatment approach blends evidence-based practices with a deep respect for the mind-body connection. As an EMDR-certified therapist, Becky integrates somatic strategies, parts work, and cognitive tools to support lasting change. Her goal is to help clients move from surviving to thriving—gaining insight, building internal resources, and creating new patterns rooted in clarity and self-trust.

Clients describe Becky as direct, grounded, and compassionate. She believes therapy should be a collaborative space where clients feel emotionally safe and empowered to take meaningful steps forward. She honors each person’s pace and integrates practical tools with soulful support to guide the healing process.

With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Becky brings depth, skill, and heart to her work. She is the founder of Think Well Live Well Counseling and Telepsychiatry, a women-led private practice offering therapy and medication management across Indiana. Both in person and virtually, Becky creates space for transformation—meeting clients wherever they are, and helping them get to where they want to be.

Message to clients

Starting therapy is a brave step, and I want you to know that you don’t have to have it all figured out before you come in. My job is to help you sort through the overwhelm, make sense of your story, and reconnect with the parts of you that are strong, capable, and worthy of healing. Whether you're carrying the weight of past trauma, struggling with anxiety or depression, or just feeling stuck, you're not alone, and change is possible.

I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can be real, ask the hard questions, and be met with compassion, not judgment. I’ll meet you where you are and walk alongside you at a pace that feels manageable and meaningful. You don’t have to perform or pretend in this space—just show up as you are.

My hope is that our work together helps you feel more connected to yourself, clearer about what you want, and more confident in your ability to move forward. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but with the right support, it does happen—and I’m here to help you get there.
