Professional statement

Dr. Brielle Stark-Adler is a licensed Counseling Psychologist in New York and New Jersey. Brielle founded Connected Counseling Psychology with a mission to offer therapy that creates real, felt change—session by session. She deeply values the time, energy, and financial resources clients invest in their care, and believes that each session should offer something meaningful: a sense of clarity, grounding, progress toward more satisfying relationships, behavior change and lasting solutions to clients' most pressing problems.

Brielle practices integrative psychotherapy, a dynamic approach that addresses the full scope of human experience—thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—and how they show up in real life. Her work is collaborative and grounded in deep respect for clients' values, beliefs, and lived experience. The goal: growth that feels authentic, sustainable, and aligned with who clients truly are.

Connected Counseling is especially attuned to the needs of adults (18+) navigating demanding roles—leaders facing complex decisions, professionals juggling competing priorities, and parents carrying layered responsibilities. Therapy here is not only effective, but logistically doable, with flexible options like shorter Recharge sessions designed to meet you where life actually happens.

The practice is rooted in an ideologically open stance—meaning there’s no pressure to conform to one model of growth, one perspective, or one vision. Brielle welcomes complexity, nuance, and individuality. Therapy with Brielle isn’t something clients have to fit into; it’s built to fit clients.

In addition to individual therapy, Brielle offers clinical supervision tailored to providers at all stages of development. She also provides consultation and training—whether you’re seeking support for yourself or a loved one, or your team needs expert guidance on mental health topics.

At Connected Counseling, therapy is personal, flexible, and designed to create meaningful change.

Message to clients

Therapy doesn’t have to be another overwhelming thing on your to-do list. It can be a steady space—where you can breathe, sort through what’s real, and feel more like yourself again.

I started Connected Counseling Psychology after years of experience working in—and leading—a university mental health center. In that role, I supported people through major transitions, identity questions, intense pressures, and behavior change. I also trained therapists, led clinical teams, and built systems of care—learning what it takes to create therapy that actually works in real life.

In private practice, I work with adults (18+) in high-demand roles—people managing ongoing pressure while trying to stay present, purposeful, and well. I offer integrative psychotherapy, which means we explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors together, looking for patterns and possibilities—not quick fixes.

Clients often tell me, “I feel different after our sessions.” That’s intentional. My standard is that each session creates something meaningful—a moment of clarity, a shift, or a renewed sense of connection. Growth doesn’t need to be dramatic, but it should be felt.

I also practice from an ideologically open stance, which means I don’t assume there’s one “right” way to grow. You won’t be boxed in or steered toward someone else’s version of healing. Together, we’ll find what’s true for you—even if it looks different than what you expected.

If you’re looking for therapy, supervision, and consultation that’s thoughtful, flexible, and truly supportive—I’d be honored to work with you.
