Professional statement

I have 21 years of experience, and have worked in residential treatment facilities, inpatient hospitals, outpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and school-based services in the past. I graduated from University South Carolina Spartanburg in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and Medical College of Virginia in 2001 with a master's degree in Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina.

I help children, adolescents, adults, and families who are struggling with stress related to school, friends, jobs, raising families and working through trauma. I use a mind body approach by incorporating tools and techniques specific to each client's individual need and develop a plan to work through the stress. I enjoy helping and empowering people to find ways to discover their true potential and teach ways to Thrive not just SURVIVE. I would love to help you have a better understanding about what stress does to the body, and how to change your current response to this stress. Let's work together!

Message to clients

From the outside you look like you have everything figured out. You are working, raising kids, going to school, have friends and family. On the inside you feel like there is something missing, your are reminded of all the times that you failed or scenes from the past that remind of when you were not good enough or when you felt out of control. You feel exhausted from years of trying to keep it together and keep moving. You are tired of putting your guard up and pretending like everything is ok and that you are strong. No more fighting against yourself and feeling exhausted. Let's talk about what change looks like.

You want to feel at peace, relaxed, and enjoy life's moments. You have worked hard for the life you have and want to live it without scenes from the past tearing you down. You have heard people talk about "self love," "work life balance" and "living in the moment," and actually want to know what that is like. You want to put the past behind you.

Let's talk about how things can change. With 24/7 online scheduling and the ability to see clients in person or virtually therapy is easier than ever before. Schedule a free no obligation consultation today. I offer in person and virtual visits.
