Candace Dickinson is a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in working with adults navigating complex trauma, CPTSD, anxiety, grief, and relational wounds. Many of her clients are self-aware and high-functioning, yet find themselves stuck in patterns that traditional therapy hasn’t resolved. She offers a compassionate and empowering space for individuals recovering from narcissistic abuse, navigating life transitions, or seeking to reconnect with their sense of self after years of emotional survival.
Candace’s approach is integrative, attachment-informed, and rooted in trauma neuroscience. Drawing from EMDR therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and somatic strategies, she helps clients move through stored trauma and build a sense of safety and regulation in the body. Her work also incorporates parts work, CBT, and mindfulness-based tools to support emotional healing, resilience, and self-compassion. She believes in honoring each client's story while supporting them in creating new pathways toward stability, identity, and joy.
With advanced training in EMDR, trauma and dissociation, and narcissistic abuse recovery, Candace brings over a decade of experience to her work. In addition to individual therapy, she provides EMDR and CPTSD consultation to clinicians and facilitates trauma-informed therapy groups. Her clinical foundation is grounded in cultural humility, integrity, and a deep respect for client autonomy.
Candace sees clients in person in Beverly, Massachusetts, and offers secure telehealth services to residents of Massachusetts, Virginia, and Florida. She also offers concierge services, extended session formats, and EMDR intensives for those needing deeper or more flexible support. New clients are welcome to inquire about availability.
