Professional statement

Carmen specializes in supporting high-functioning working women navigating anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, and the pressure that often comes with balancing work, relationships, caregiving, and daily responsibilities. Many of the women she works with are used to being dependable, capable, and constantly showing up for others while quietly carrying stress, overthinking, emotional exhaustion, and pressure internally.

Her clients often feel overwhelmed by responsibilities, struggle to slow down, or notice that constantly pushing through stress and prioritizing everyone else’s needs has begun to affect their emotional well-being. Many appear to have everything together externally while internally feeling mentally overloaded, anxious, emotionally drained, or disconnected from themselves.

Carmen works with women from a variety of backgrounds and professions, including corporate roles, healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, and service industries. Her therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. She helps clients better understand the patterns contributing to anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and chronic stress while developing healthier and more sustainable ways of coping.

Therapy with Carmen offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, reflect, process what they have been carrying, and begin reconnecting with themselves outside of constant pressure and responsibility.

Message to clients

Before starting therapy, Carmen wants you to know that you do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say.

Many of the women she works with begin therapy feeling nervous, emotionally overwhelmed, or unsure whether their struggles are “serious enough” for support. Often, they are so used to managing everything on their own that asking for help feels unfamiliar.

The truth is that you do not need to wait until things become unbearable to begin therapy. If you have been feeling anxious, burned out, emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself beneath the pressure of daily life, your experiences deserve support and care.

Carmen’s goal is to create a warm, collaborative, and emotionally safe environment where you can slow down and openly explore what you have been carrying. Together, you will work toward understanding patterns contributing to stress and overwhelm, improving boundaries, reducing anxiety, and developing healthier ways of coping and caring for yourself.

Sessions are offered through secure telehealth across New York, allowing therapy to feel more accessible and flexible for busy working women.

A free consultation is available if you would like to connect, ask questions, and explore whether the practice feels like the right fit for you.
