Professional statement

Chaya Luss, LPCC, is a licensed professional clinical counselor in Minnesota and a licensed associate counselor in New Jersey. She works with adults who are impacted by childhood trauma and attachment wounds, often showing up as anxiety, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, difficulty trusting, or feeling stuck in familiar relational patterns.

Chaya’s approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and integrates EMDR and somatic work. She helps clients understand how early relationships shaped their nervous system and coping strategies, and supports them in healing these patterns with curiosity and compassion. Therapy focuses on building internal safety, strengthening self-leadership, and creating more secure ways of relating—to both self and others.

Clients often describe Chaya as warm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. She offers a steady, supportive space where people can slow down, feel understood, and move at a pace that feels right. Chaya provides telehealth therapy to clients in Minnesota and New Jersey.

Message to clients

I work with adults who are feeling the impact of childhood trauma and attachment wounds, often showing up as anxiety, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, or repeating relational patterns. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, yet feel stuck despite years of “understanding” their experiences. My hope is to help you move beyond insight alone and into deeper, more lasting change.

My approach is experiential and grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), integrating EMDR and somatic work. Sessions are less about retelling your story and more about slowing down, tuning into your inner experience, and gently working with the parts of you that learned to adapt early in life. We’ll pay attention to what’s happening in your body and nervous system, helping create more internal safety, self-leadership, and secure attachment over time.

I strive to create a warm, steady space where you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out. Therapy with me is collaborative, attuned, and paced with care. My hope is that through our work together, you’ll feel more connected to yourself, more secure in relationships, and more able to respond to life with choice rather than survival.
