Professional statement

Christine Tronge, LCSW, is a licensed psychotherapist with over 30 years of clinical experience working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. Her clients are often high-functioning professionals and thoughtful individuals who appear capable externally yet feel overwhelmed, stuck, or internally strained. Many seek therapy when familiar coping strategies no longer provide relief or clarity.

Christine’s approach is grounded, relational, and individualized rather than prescriptive. Her work integrates psychodynamic, existential, humanistic, and mindfulness-informed perspectives, with attention to both emotional depth and practical change. Therapy focuses on understanding longstanding patterns, strengthening internal resources, and supporting meaningful, sustainable growth.

Christine has maintained a long-standing private practice in Silicon Valley and previously served as a primary senior clinician on the inpatient psychiatric unit at Duke University Medical Center. Her background includes extensive work with complex presentations, including trauma and PTSD, as well as clients facing high levels of responsibility, stress, and identity-related challenges.

Christine offers therapy on a private-pay basis and provides both in-person sessions in Silicon Valley and secure telehealth services to clients throughout California. Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or biweekly, with availability discussed directly to ensure appropriate fit and pacing.

Message to clients

Before we begin, I want you to know that therapy with me is not rushed or scripted. You won’t be asked to fit into a formula or hide the parts of yourself that feel too complicated or too heavy. Many people come to me carrying a mix of anxiety, responsibility, overwhelm, and a long history of managing everything on their own. If you’re tired of feeling like you have to hold it all together by yourself, you’re in the right place.

My hope is that our sessions give you room to slow down, breathe, and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. I blend practical skills with deeper reflection so you can understand your patterns, strengthen your internal resources, and move toward a life that feels steadier, clearer, and more aligned with who you are.

I offer therapy on a private-pay basis and work thoughtfully and collaboratively to ensure the pace and focus feel right for you. From the first session, my aim is for therapy to feel grounded, meaningful, and genuinely supportive.
