Professional statement

Navigating the complexities of modern life can be challenging, and taking this step towards support requires courage. I work with men aged 18-60+ who are ready to address issues such as communication, dating and romantic relationships, rejection, abandonment, and the desire for deeper emotional connection. Together, we can tackle the pressures of perfectionism, learn effective ways to manage intense negative emotions, navigate the unique stresses of entrepreneurship, job demands, and find pathways through burnout. I offer a grounded and empowering space to explore the expectations and challenges of masculinity, helping you build a stronger, more authentic sense of self and move forward with greater confidence and direction.

In our work together, you can expect a supportive and collaborative environment focused on understanding your experiences and developing effective strategies for change. I offer a blend of genuine emotional support and practical problem-solving, helping you build resilience through coping skills and a focus on overall wellness. I draw upon principles of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, EMDR, attachment work, and psychodynamic therapy, encouraging introspection, accountability, and self-compassion to deepen your understanding of yourself and your relationships. My goal is to provide a clinically sound and genuinely supportive experience.

What sets my practice apart is my passion for helping men and my deeply holistic view of health – understanding that your mind and body are interconnected. This perspective, supported by current research, informs how we'll work together. I also bring a unique ability to quickly build strong, trusting connections with individuals from all walks of life. My extensive training and diverse experiences, from community clinics, private practice, correctional facilities to hospitals and foster care, have equipped me with a versatile skill set and a profound appreciation for each client's unique journey.

I am currently offering telehealth sessions.

Message to clients

Mental strength starts with emotional clarity!

Alright, let's cut to the chase. Stepping into therapy takes guts, and I respect you taking that leap. What I want for you as we start is a straightforward space where you can lay things out without feeling like you need to put on a front. Real strength, as I see it, comes from getting clear on what's going on inside. We'll work on understanding your feelings and experiences, getting to the core of what's affecting you.

Look, I get it. For guys, dealing with stress and mental health challenges can feel like a different ballgame. There's a lot of conflicting information out there about what it means to be a man, and reaching out for help isn't always painted as the strong move. My aim is to flip that script. I want to empower men to see that taking care of your mental well-being is just as crucial as going to the gym or providing for your family. It's about being a complete person.

You've got options when it comes to therapy, and what drives me is breaking down the stigma around men's mental health. I'm about creating a space where you can be real, tackle tough stuff, and redefine what being a healthy man looks like for you. I'm here to work with you, plain and simple, on building clarity and strength.
