Professional statement

Eddie Shin is a trauma-informed therapist who works with adults experiencing anxiety, anger, overwhelm, and the lasting effects of trauma. Many of the clients he supports feel stuck in survival mode, unsure why old patterns keep resurfacing or why healing feels out of reach. Eddie provides a compassionate, structured space where clients can begin to feel safer, more grounded, and more confident in themselves and their lives.

His therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based and experiential methods, including neurofeedback, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), DBT skills, and narrative therapy. Eddie focuses on helping clients understand their nervous system, reduce distressing symptoms, and build practical tools for emotional regulation while gently addressing the root causes of trauma. Therapy with Eddie is collaborative and paced intentionally, allowing clients to move toward deeper healing without feeling overwhelmed.

Eddie has specialized training in trauma treatment and is passionate about helping clients reconnect with a sense of hope, clarity, and personal agency. He believes that healing is possible, even for those who feel discouraged by past experiences or previous therapy.

Eddie offers in-person therapy sessions in Utah and provides secure telehealth services for clients who prefer remote sessions. He also offers a free 15-minute consultation to help prospective clients determine whether his approach is the right fit. Send Eddie a message today to see how he can support you in your healing journey!

Message to clients

My main hope is that those who work with me know and feel that I am dedicated to their healing journey.

I find that one of the most important factors that leads to change is not only the therapy models or skills used, but the therapeutic relationship. Something that I find important for you, as the client, is to feel comfortable with and trust the person who is entrusted with some of the most difficult and vulnerable topics and parts of you. As comfort and trust are the foundation of the therapeutic relationship, healing can occur and is absolutely possible!

I am always grateful for and in awe of the miraculous changes and healing that occur in the various clients that I've worked with. My hope and mission is to help you get to the best version of yourself possible, paving the way toward a hopeful future! Healing is absolutely possible and takes one courageous step at a time. The good news is that you don't have to do any of it alone. We can do this together. I'd be honored to walk that path with you.
