Professional statement

Elizabeth Siclari is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in Buffalo, NY, who specializes in supporting women ages 25–45 navigating anxiety, trauma, and the emotional impact of overwhelming life experiences. She understands that many women in this stage of life carry a great deal—careers, relationships, family expectations, identity shifts—and often feel pressure to manage everything while still appearing composed. Elizabeth offers a therapeutic space where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and begin healing at a pace that feels safe and grounded.

Her approach integrates expressive arts therapy, somatic awareness, and evidence‑based methods to help clients understand their nervous system responses, process difficult emotions, and build internal safety. She emphasizes that no artistic experience is required; creative work simply provides an additional pathway for expression when words feel too limited or too painful. Elizabeth’s style is warm, steady, and collaborative, helping clients feel supported as they explore patterns shaped by past experiences and develop new ways of relating to themselves.

With over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, Elizabeth has worked extensively with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, and other mood‑related challenges. Her background includes both individual and group therapy, including groups focused on art therapy, anxiety management, and grief recovery. She brings a trauma‑informed lens to all her work, helping clients feel seen, validated, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.

Elizabeth is committed to ongoing professional growth and is currently pursuing additional training in yoga therapy and guided drawing for trauma‑responsive work. She strives to create a calm, supportive environment where women can reconnect with their strengths, deepen self‑understanding, and move toward a more grounded and meaningful life.

Message to clients

You're holding it all together on the outside but inside, it feels overwhelming, exhausting, and hard to manage. If you're stuck in patterns, you can't seem to break, there's a reason and it's not because you are failing. That's where we start. I'm Liz, a creative arts therapist with nearly a decade of experience helping women process trauma, reconnect with themselves, and feel more grounded and in control of their lives again. My approach is warm, direct, and deeply attuned. I'll meet you where you are, but I'll also help you move forward.

I integrate EMDR, trauma-focused therapy, and expressive approaches to help you process what you've been carrying, understand your emotional patterns, build healthier relationships (with yourself and others) and feel more like yourself again. You don't have to have the right words to begin. We'll figure it out together.

Throughout our work, I hold the relationship at the center. Healing happens in connection, and I want you to feel seen, supported, and understood as we navigate your story together. I’m here to walk with you, help you make sense of what feels overwhelming, and support you in building the internal safety and resilience you deserve.
