Professional statement

Fenella Ting, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 12 years of experience supporting young adults and adults through holistic, person-centered therapy. She creates a warm, compassionate space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with themselves.

Fenella integrates EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and somatic approaches to help clients process trauma, reconnect with their body-mind, build resilience, and nurture self-compassion. Her approach emphasizes the mind–body connection and fosters a stronger relationship with one’s inner self.

Fenella has extensive experience across diverse settings in Malaysia and the U.S., including individual therapy, in-home therapy, residential group homes, and leading domestic violence programs. In Malaysia, she has also led workshops on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), promoting culturally sensitive and inclusive mental health practices.

A certified 200-hour yoga teacher, Fenella enjoys practicing yoga and integrates mindful, body-based awareness into her sessions, whether in person or via telehealth. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Malay, she meets clients where they are, fostering understanding and connection across cultures.

Fenella’s goal is to help clients heal, grow, and reconnect with their authentic selves—with compassion, curiosity, and hope.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that you’re entering a safe, compassionate space where you can be fully yourself. You can bring whatever is on your mind — there’s no “right” way to feel or share here. My goal is to support you as you navigate life’s challenges, process difficult experiences, and reconnect with your inner self.

Together, we’ll work on building resilience, nurturing self-compassion, and strengthening your mind–body connection in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable. My hope is that you leave each session feeling more grounded, empowered, and understood, with insights and tools that support your growth beyond our time together.
