Professional statement

Francine brings a broad and compassionate perspective shaped by years of living and traveling throughout the United States and abroad as a military spouse (now retired). These experiences deepened her understanding that each individual’s story is unique, and she integrates this belief into her work by using advanced, evidence-based approaches that support healing of both the brain and body.

She is a Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapist, offering an effective, research-supported treatment for trauma and emotional distress. EMDR can reduce distressing symptoms, reprocess negative beliefs, and support lasting change without requiring extensive verbal retelling of traumatic experiences. Research suggests benefits are maintained over time, helping reduce intrusive thoughts and trauma-related patterns.

Francine is actively involved in the EMDR community as a Coach at EMDR basic trainings and as a Consultant for clinicians pursuing EMDR certification. In her clinical work, she integrates Ego State/Parts work along with various EMDR protocols and resources to support clients both within and beyond therapy sessions.

She also incorporates her training as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, completed within the medical community. Hypnotherapy supports clients in understanding and managing psychological, emotional, and physical responses, facilitating meaningful and lasting change. Additionally, Francine may integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—a gold-standard, evidence-based approach—as part of a personalized treatment plan

Message to clients

Welcome.

Therapy is a space where you can safely and openly explore the experiences that have been painful, confusing, or limiting for you. Your story is uniquely yours, and our work together will be grounded in respect, compassion, and freedom from judgment or shame.

I value creating a strong therapeutic alliance and walking alongside you in your healing process. Whether you’ve been carrying long-standing struggles or navigating a recent, distressing event, choosing to begin therapy is a meaningful and courageous step. Many clients come in feeling unseen, stuck, or disconnected—deeply human experiences. And still, you are unique.

In our first session, we will begin developing a thoughtful plan for change. Healing takes time and intention; while it isn’t instantaneous, the work you invest can lead to lasting and meaningful growth. I encourage curiosity as we explore how your mind and nervous system adapt and heal.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and continually seek advanced training to best support my clients. Often, what clients bring into the therapy space inspires me to deepen my skills even further.

I offer secure video sessions, allowing you to attend therapy from a private location that feels comfortable for you. If you’d like, you’re welcome to reach out to schedule a brief phone consultation prior to your first session so I can answer any questions you may have.
