Jacqueline is an Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families. As a second-generation immigrant, she is especially passionate about supporting immigrant communities and people of color. Her clinical interests include family and relationship challenges, transitions into adulthood, sibling relationships, intergenerational trauma, perfectionism, and mood disorders.
Jacqueline is committed to being a culturally curious therapist and values learning about different cultures, races, and ethnicities. She collaborates with clients to explore how their identities show up in the therapy room and in their daily lives. Jacqueline takes an integrative approach to therapy, utilizing a variety of systemic and evidence-based theories tailored to fit each client’s unique needs and personality. Her therapeutic modalities include Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Internal Family Systems.
Jacqueline believes that safe and vulnerable relationships can be a powerful vessel for healing and growth. She understands how old patterns can keep people feeling stuck and works with clients to recognize and shift those patterns. With her friendly, playful, and warm personality, Jacqueline strives to build strong, caring relationships with clients that support them in translating what they learn into other relationships in their lives. She believes each client’s unique experiences deserve an individualized approach that honors their goals and values. Jacqueline’s collaborative style challenges clients to grow and change at their own pace while exploring what feels most meaningful to them. She fosters a nonjudgmental space by leading with curiosity and genuine empathy.
Jacqueline earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. She offers services in English and also speaks conversational Mandarin. She is available to see clients virtually as well as the in person office in Andersonville!
