Jacqueline "Jayde" Young has her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado and Texas. She also is a Registered Play Therapist who works with clients across the lifespan. She currently lives abroad and offers a more flexible schedule for those who need early morning appointment times before work or school for online sessions.
Jayde's therapeutic approach is person centered and works hard to see your world as you do. As a certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist she helps utilize her skills when needed to help clients move past any "stuck" moments that might come up in the therapy process. She is also trained in Child Parent Relationship Training (CPRT) to help build strong relationships between parents to improve communication and behaviors that can arise within the family along with sandtray therapy and expressive arts therapy to help people express themselves when words are limited.
Jayde has worked primarily with the neurodiverse population over the course of her experience as a therapist. She identifies being neurodivergent herself and understands the struggle, but also the strength that comes with having a unique way of thinking. She enjoys creating a safe space for those who often feel misunderstood.
