Thanks for visiting my page. I try to help my clients feel "heard" and "seen" in tretament. I am happy to speak with you regarding my practice philosophy and approach. I am a behaviorist and a strengths-based practitioner. I don't use a lot of jargon. Instead I use common sense concepts to validate your experiences and understand your treatment goals. In addition, I use mind-body connection work to help you identify how their thoughts translate to feelings and result in the unhealthy behaviors they want to change, or the healthy ones they want to build upon.
My practice philosophy includes understanding how your life experiences made you who you are and in turn how you perceive the world. That way we can identify those health patterns/behaviors, and those that cause you problems.
Change is hard. I offer genuine, empathic, and authentic clinically-based treatment driven by, and focused on, your needs. I work to understand how you are “built” since we are all the sum of our collective unique experiences. Understanding your perspective allows me to best understand problematic thought patterns and habits. Then we can structure practical treatment that helps you reach your goals. I have worked for decades as a community-based practitioner and bring that perspective to treat trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction issues that help my clients manage their relationships and lives.
Note to potential clients: I use Headway and SimplePractice as my scheduling and administrative insurance claims practice partners where I can see clients through Telehealth or in-person in my office. For more information and to book an appointment you can view my profile on their website. Or message me through Zencare if you have any questions.
