Jamie Valerio-Figueroa, LCSW, MSW, PPSC is the Founder and sole therapist of Colibri Counseling Center. Her work focuses on children, teens and adults who identify as BIPOC, 1st Gen, women and/or LGBTQ+IA. She provides therapeutic services in English and Spanish, which a focus on individual and family sessions.

Although she is licensed in both Utah and California, Jamie only takes clients in person in Utah and is located in the heart of salt lake city. Her availability is part-time during the day hours. Insurances taken are Blue Cross Blue Shield, Select Health, United/Optum, and Lyra (EAP plans). Cash pay is also available.

Jamie works with clients struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Life Transitions, Cultural and Environmental Stressors, and childhood trauma. Jamie brings in a variety of modalities to fit your individual needs. Her therapy approach is culturally sensitive, humanistic, creative and community centered. Her practice has an emphasis on feminist psychology, liberation psychology and play therapy modalities.
