Professional statement

Accepting new clients in 2026 - welcome!

Jane Bucher-McCoy, LSW works with adolescents and adults who are going through emotional and relational challenges, including depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, and symptoms of trauma. She uses compassion, curiosity and humor in her work and feels that the relationship between therapist and client, when paired with a therapeutic approach that best fits the client, is vital in healing and moving forward.

Jane uses Cognitive Behavioral, Client Centered, and Solution-Focused approaches and more, and applies a trauma-informed lens where appropriate. She knows that at times, life brings us challenges that we feel ill-equipped to handle, and she feels honored to work with individuals as they struggle to navigate these challenges and changes.

Message to clients

Talking with someone can help with perspective when coping with problems and emotions! Having been a client at various times in my life, I know it takes courage and initiative to get into therapy, and it's important to find someone who feels right for you. I see you, the client, as the expert on your own life, and therapy as a collaboration between the two of us. If you think I might be a good fit, please send an email or a voicemail and I’d be happy to find a time to answer any questions and/or set up time for a free 15-minute consultation.
