Professional statement

Hi, I’m Dr. Jane Floyd—a Clinical Psychologist based in Chapel Hill, NC.

I help clients navigate emotional pain, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions by exploring the deep connection between thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. Often, we internalize beliefs like “I’m not good enough”—and then start to live in ways that reinforce those narratives. In our work together, we’ll challenge those patterns, uncover your strengths, and move toward a more grounded, fulfilling life.

Many of the people I work with are going through major changes—career shifts, grief, breakups, burnout, or simply feeling stuck. I’m here to help you make sense of those moments and turn them into growth opportunities. I draw on evidence-based, mind-body approaches that treat the whole person—because healing isn’t just about talking; it’s about reconnecting to your inner resources.

My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Therapy with me is about showing up as your full self—not needing to have it all figured out. Together, we’ll build self-awareness, reduce symptoms, and strengthen your ability to cope with whatever life throws at you.

I earned my MA and PsyD from Argosy University and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Duke Integrative Medicine, where I deepened my commitment to integrative, whole-person care. Before becoming a psychologist, I spent years working in tech and corporate environments—so I understand the stress and pressure that can come with ambition, identity, and finding your way in a demanding world.

If you’re ready to stop surviving and start building something more meaningful, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Message to clients

I am glad you are here!

Reaching out for support can feel like the hardest part—so if you're here, you’ve already taken a big and important first step. Maybe you’ve been feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in a sadness you can’t quite shake. Or perhaps life has thrown you a challenge that feels heavier than usual, and your usual ways of coping just aren’t working right now.

Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space to help you sort through what’s going on, explore what’s getting in your way, and start moving toward a version of life that feels more aligned, empowered, and fulfilling. Therapy is a collaborative process—we’ll work together to better understand your patterns, build your resilience, and create a path forward that feels right for you.

We’ll begin with a brief complimentary phone consultation, where you can ask questions, share a bit about what’s going on, and get a feel for how I work. From there, we’ll decide together on the best way to move forward and create a plan that fits your needs and goals.

Currently, I offer both in-person sessions two days a week and telehealth options the rest of the time to accommodate your schedule and preferences.

If you’re ready to start making meaningful changes—or even just take the first step in exploring what those could look like—I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Let’s begin .. send me an email or please call.
