Professional statement

Jason Abrahamzon is a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, specializing in anxiety, couples and premarital counseling, and sports performance. He works with individuals who are exhausted from worry and overthinking, couples navigating conflict or preparing for marriage, and college and competitive athletes — including UWEC student-athletes — struggling with performance pressure and mental blocks.

Jason's therapeutic approach is holistic and evidence-based, drawing from CBT, DBT, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Attachment Theory, Existential, and Person-Centered frameworks. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, he tailors each session to the individual, honoring the whole person — mind, body, and life context — rather than just the presenting problem.

With over 10 years of experience, Jason earned his MSEd from the University of Wisconsin–Superior in 2016 and holds his LPC license in Wisconsin. He is committed to staying current through ongoing CEUs and training, and brings genuine warmth and care to every therapeutic relationship.

Jason sees clients at his Eau Claire office located at 1812 Brackett Ave., Suite #6, and offers telehealth sessions throughout Wisconsin and Tennessee. He accepts insurance and offers a sliding scale for those who need it. Individual sessions are $100 and couples sessions are $125. He currently has immediate openings for both in-person and virtual appointments.

Message to clients

Before we start, I want you to know a few things. You don't need to have the right words, a clear diagnosis, or even a specific goal. You just need to show up. I'll take care of the rest. My approach is collaborative — we'll work at your pace, in a space that feels genuinely safe and free of judgment. I'm not here to tell you what's wrong with you. I'm here to help you figure out what's getting in the way of the life you actually want.

I also want you to know that I take the trust you place in me seriously. Every session is built around you specifically — your story, your goals, your life. I don't believe in cookie-cutter therapy, and I won't treat you like a checklist.

My hope for you is simple: that you leave our work together feeling more capable, more grounded, and more like yourself — not a managed version of yourself, but genuinely, fully you. Whether that takes a few sessions or a longer journey, I'm committed to walking alongside you every step of the way.
