I’m an experienced psychotherapist and executive coach with over 30 years of clinical experience working with diverse clients. While I work with all types of concerns, I specialize in treating grief, trauma, and substance abuse. I bring a straightforward and supportive style to all of my work, assisting clients to identify behavioral patterns, gain insight, and work towards lasting change.
I started my professional journey at a hospital (New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell) where I worked in the Emergency Room, in Pediatric Special Studies, and supervising a team of 25 social workers. My exposure to a diverse range of clients and situations provided an invaluable grounding in human dynamics. I continue to embrace the values of professional Social Work, and find immense satisfaction in facilitating positive change and a sense of empowerment in my clients. I moved from the hospital to a workplace consulting firm in Manhattan where I continue to work part time, providing consulting, executive coaching, and organizational development services to Fortune 500 companies. I have maintained a private psychotherapy practice since 2001.
In my work as a psychotherapist I employ an eclectic style drawn from psychodynamic, person-centered, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and cognitive-behavioral theory. I also use EMDR as an evidence-based trauma treatment, as well as a protocol that specifically targets prolonged grief. I’m a holistic practitioner, assisting clients to address and and all aspects of their lives that may be impacting their current situation.
I am licensed in multiple states including New York, New Jersey, Colorado, Florida, and North Carolina. All of my therapy services are delivered virtually.
