Jeff Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Counselor Supervisor based in Fort Worth, TX, specializing in traumatic grief, religious trauma, and psychedelic integration. His practice serves bereaved parents navigating child loss, ex-evangelicals wrestling with spiritual crisis after leaving high-control religion, and individuals integrating profound psychedelic experiences.
Jeff's approach is rooted in lived experience. When his children died, he faced devastating grief and a spiritual crisis his conservative Christian upbringing could not address. His healing journey led him to psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, which transformed his understanding of trauma and recovery. This experience fundamentally shaped his practice and led him to pursue specialized training.
In 2024, Jeff graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research program. He has been a licensed professional counselor in Texas for over 25 years and a counselor supervisor for over 10 years. His therapeutic approach integrates narrative therapy, existential therapy, and mindfulness-based practices, but his most powerful tool is lived experience with the wounds his clients carry.
Jeff offers a space where clients don't have to explain why their grief feels "too big" or why they can't return to church. He understands carrying loss that changes everything, leaving a faith that no longer fits, and making sense of experiences difficult to put into words. His practice is built on compassion, authenticity, and the belief that the deepest wounds require a therapist who has walked the path themselves.
Jeff provides telehealth services throughout Texas. He accepts most major insurance plans including United, Cigna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Aetna, and works with Alma and Headway for billing support
