Professional statement

Jessica Hanlon, LCSW, is a clinical therapist who works with individuals, couples, families, and children ages 6 and up. She especially enjoys supporting people who feel nervous or unsure about starting therapy, helping them move from hesitation to feeling safe, heard, and understood.

Jessica uses a warm, collaborative style grounded in evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT-informed skills, EMDR, and trauma-informed care. She frequently works with anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as relationship concerns such as infidelity, fertility stress, addiction, and parenting challenges. Her goal is to create a nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their stories at their own pace and begin to create meaningful change.

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stonehill College and her Master of Social Work from Westfield State University. She has over four years of experience working holistically with individuals with disabilities and chronic health conditions, with a focus on improving overall health and quality of life. Jessica offers both in-person sessions in the Plymouth area and telehealth services to clients across Massachusetts through EMDR Therapy Solutions & Wellness, guided by a belief that healing begins when we are able to “walk inside our story and own it.”

Message to clients

Before we start working together, I want you to know that it’s completely okay to feel nervous, unsure, or even skeptical about therapy. So many people worry about “saying the right thing” or fear being judged. With me, you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out. You can show up exactly as you are messy, confused, anxious, numb, overwhelmed and we’ll take it one step at a time, at a pace that feels manageable for you.

In our sessions, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. I use a mix of practical tools and deeper processing whether that’s talk therapy, skills from CBT/DBT, EMDR for trauma, or support around relationships, parenting, or big life transitions. You’re always in the driver’s seat; I’m here to walk alongside you, not push you somewhere you’re not ready to go.

More than anything, my hope is that over time you begin to feel more grounded, more confident in your own story, and more able to trust yourself. You deserve a therapy experience where you don’t have to hustle for your worthiness and I’m honored to be part of that journey with you.
