Julie's therapeutic approach is highly relational, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Her work integrates narrative therapy, psychodynamic principles, relational therapy, and social-emotional approaches, helping clients examine the stories they tell about themselves while developing new perspectives that foster resilience, self-compassion, and meaningful growth. Julie combines insight-oriented exploration with practical tools, tailoring treatment to each client's unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

Julie brings a uniquely rich professional background to her clinical work. Prior to becoming a therapist, she spent more than a decade as a rabbi, educator, writer, and community leader, supporting individuals through life's most significant moments of joy, grief, uncertainty, and transformation. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University, a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, and was ordained as a rabbi through Hebrew Union College. Message to clients

If you're considering therapy, I want you to know that you don't need to have everything figured out before we begin. Many people come to therapy during times of uncertainty, loss, transition, or emotional overwhelm, and it can feel difficult to know where to start. My role is to provide a warm, supportive space where you can explore your experiences openly and honestly, without fear of judgment. Together, we'll take the time to understand your story, identify what's getting in the way of the life you want to live, and discover the strengths and resources you already possess.

I believe that meaningful change happens through connection, curiosity, and self-compassion. Whether you're navigating grief, trauma, relationship challenges, neurodiversity, caregiving responsibilities, infertility, or a major life transition, my hope is that our work together helps you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to yourself and others. Therapy is not about becoming someone different it's about understanding yourself more deeply and creating space for healing, growth, and authenticity.

Above all, I hope you leave each session feeling seen, heard, and valued. We will move at a pace that feels right for you, honoring both the challenges you face and the resilience that has carried you this far. It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate life's complexities and build lives that feel meaningful, purposeful, and aligned with their values.
