Kandace Ledergerber works primarily with adults who feel stuck in survival mode, often highly capable, thoughtful people who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, attachment wounds, or the lingering impact of trauma. Many of her clients are used to holding everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. She specializes in supporting clients who want more than coping strategies and are ready to understand why their nervous system responds the way it does, and how to gently shift those patterns.
Her approach to therapy is trauma-informed, relational, and deeply attuned to the nervous system. Kandace integrates EMDR therapy with somatic and attachment-based perspectives, helping clients move beyond insight alone and into felt safety, emotional regulation, and self-trust. Sessions are collaborative and paced with care, prioritizing stabilization, consent, and emotional safety. Rather than pushing clients to “fix” themselves, her work centers on helping them feel seen, understood, and supported as their system learns that it no longer has to stay on high alert.
Kandace is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Arizona) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Florida), as well as a Certified EMDR Therapist. She has advanced training in trauma treatment, anxiety disorders, and long-standing survival patterns such as people-pleasing, overthinking, emotional numbing, and self-silencing. Her clinical work is informed by current trauma research and a belief that healing happens not through pressure or perfection, but through consistent, compassionate support.
Kandace offers in-person therapy in Tempe, Arizona, and also provides virtual EMDR therapy for clients located throughout Arizona and Florida. She works with adults and offers both ongoing therapy and EMDR intensives, depending on client needs and readiness. Clients can expect a grounded, supportive space where therapy feels human, respectful, and responsive — not rushed or one-size-fits-all.
