Professional statement

Katelyn Manewich is a licensed mental health counselor based in Granby, Massachusetts. She works individually with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and family estrangement.

Many of Katelyn’s clients come in when they're struggling with overthinking, self-doubt, feeling overwhelmed and emotionally drained. They're often navigating strained, distant, or estranged relationships. They question themselves, replay conversations and interactions, and try to make sense of confusing or one-sided dynamics. Leaving them feeling stuck, hurt, and unsure how to move forward.

Katelyn's approach is compassionate and practical. She creates a welcoming space that focuses on addressing the present, while understanding past influence, to help clients gain confidence, self-compassion, and a clear sense of direction. So that they can live life in alignment with their values, be intentional in choices, set boundaries without guilt, and rid themselves of toxic relationships.

Katelyn earned her master's degree in mental health counseling with a concentration in forensic psychology from Westfield State University in 2017. She has since supported individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings including residential, outpatient, young adults transitioning out of DCF supports, and adults navigating various life changes.

Katelyn takes a personalized approach to therapy by tailoring appointment's to your individual needs and drawing from a range of evidence-based approaches. Her work integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy, along with mindfulness and strengths-based strategies.

Katelyn is skilled in helping clients make sense of complicated relationship dynamics, stop second-guessing themselves, and work through the guilt, grief, and confusion that often come with it. She supports clients in setting and maintaining boundaries, feeling more confident in their decisions, and finding a sense of peace. She is currently welcoming new clients to reach out for a free consultation to ensure it’s a good fit.

Message to clients

My approach to therapy is collaborative and centered around you including your needs, values, and what actually feels helpful in your day-to-day life. In sessions, I often help clients untangle a “jumbled” mix of thoughts and emotions so things start to feel clearer, more organized, and easier to navigate. Rather than rushing to fix things, we take the time to understand what’s going on beneath the surface and why certain patterns keep showing up.

I use reflection, thoughtful questions, and alternative perspectives to help you make sense of what feels overwhelming or hard to put into words, whether that’s anxiety, self-doubt, or stress within your relationships. This can include navigating ongoing conflict, feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns, or working through distance or estrangement from people who matter to you. At the same time, I’ll support you in building practical tools so you can better manage overthinking, emotional overwhelm, and the impact these experiences have outside of sessions. The goal isn’t just insight, it’s helping you actually feel more stable, confident, and capable in your life.

Before starting, I think it’s helpful to know that therapy with me is an active process. I’ll meet you with honesty, curiosity, and respect, and I’ll also gently challenge you when it feels important for your growth. My hope is that over time, you feel more connected to yourself, more confident in your decisions, and less stuck in the patterns that brought you here in the first place.
