Katherine creates a space where clients feel genuinely heard, supported and empowered. Her warm, down-to-earth presence helps people open up about what they’re going through—whether it’s anxiety that feels hard to manage, relationship stress or past trauma that still affects daily life. She meets clients with compassion and honesty, helping them explore what’s beneath the surface and take steady steps toward healing and growth.
As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, Katherine is especially skilled at creating a culturally responsive space where clients from diverse backgrounds feel respected, understood and safe to express themselves fully. She works with adults and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, stress and interpersonal challenges. Her approach is collaborative and goal-oriented—she helps people connect with their strengths while offering practical tools that support lasting change. Katherine draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused techniques, tailoring each session to the individual.
Before becoming a therapist Katherine worked in child protective services, supporting children and families affected by addiction, co-occurring disorders, domestic violence and neglect. This experience deepened her understanding of complex family systems and systemic barriers. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University and is a Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor in New York State.
