Professional statement

Katherine St. Georgie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist based in San Antonio, TX. She welcomes clients of all ages and provides an affirming space for those navigating anxiety, burn out, ADHD, or major life transitions. Many of her clients are working through changes such as graduating or starting college, parenting stress, shifts in the workplace, changes in relationship status, or feeling disconnected from their usual support systems. They turn to therapy to navigate these transitions more smoothly, develop healthier coping strategies, rebuild trust and find a greater sense of balance and confidence.

In therapy sessions, Katherine spends time helping clients to build practice coping strategies that they can utilize in moments of stress. She also helps clients strengthen their executive skills and better understand their own behavioral patterns, building the confidence they need to feel secure in the changes they’re making. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques and trauma-informed exploration to help clients recognize their thought and behavior patterns and create practical tools for managing them. Sometimes, she gives clients work to do outside of their sessions as a way to reflect and practice skills throughout the week.

Katherine earned a Master’s degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM. She is committed to creating a therapeutic space focused in curiosity, compassion, and shared understanding. Her approach is neuro-affirming and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on helping clients feel empowered as they build insight through psycho-education, practicing new skills, and feeling more balanced in their lives.

Outside of private practice, she enjoys spending time outdoors, starting new creative projects and occasional retail cardio (aka walk around Target).

Message to clients

My hope is that therapy gives you both tools and perspective—something you can take with you into everyday life. I use approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and executive skills to help you build coping strategies, shift unhelpful patterns, and find ways to enjoy more of your life. I also believe therapy can be a space where you feel validated, encouraged, and even find a little humor in the process.

Above all, I want you to know this space is for you. It’s a place where you can show up as yourself—messy, uncertain, hopeful, or anything in between—and know that you won’t be judged. My goal is to support you in building confidence, balance, and clarity as you move toward the changes you want in your life.
