Katie Catalano is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Rooted Mosaic Therapy. She provides therapy for adults across Illinois, specializing in supporting individuals who grew up with emotionally immature parents and are now navigating the long-term impact of those experiences. Many of the clients she works with are high-achieving women, LGBTQ+ adults, and millennial professionals who learned early in life to stay responsible, composed, or perfectly put together while carrying more than they should have.
Using an IFS-informed, relational approach, Katie helps clients explore the protective parts of themselves that stepped into roles such as the caregiver, the peacemaker, or the perfectionist. Her work supports clients in understanding how these parts continue to shape their relationships, boundaries, self-worth, and identity in adulthood.
Clients describe Katie’s presence as warm, authentic, and grounding. She brings curiosity and gentle guidance to help clients deepen self-compassion, interrupt old patterns, and move toward more connected and empowered ways of being. Her practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-aware, and rooted in helping clients uncover a more authentic and centered sense of self.
Katie’s background in emergency services taught her the value of presence, steadiness, and safety in the healing process. She strives to create an environment where clients feel validated as the experts of their own lives. As a seasoned telehealth provider, she offers therapy that is flexible, accessible, and grounded in consistent, compassionate care.
