Katie Parisi is a New York-based clinician who specializes in grief therapy, trauma-informed care, anxiety and depression treatment, nightmares, and pet loss counseling. With a gentle, holistic approach, Katie supports individuals facing emotional overwhelm, life transitions, or the deep sorrow that follows the loss of a beloved pet.

She integrates evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), somatic therapy, and existential dream work, to help clients process emotions, reduce stress, and restore balance in their lives.

Katie creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen and supported as they navigate life's most challenging moments. Whether you're seeking relief from racing thoughts at night, coping with profound loss, or searching for meaning through inner exploration, Katie's compassionate and intuitive style empowers you to heal at your own pace—mind, body, and spirit.

Message to clients

Grief can feel overwhelming, isolating, and at times, deeply misunderstood. Whether you are navigating the loss of a loved one, the heartbreak of losing a beloved animal, or the quiet ache of anticipatory grief, you do not have to carry it alone.

I specialize in supporting individuals through grief in all its forms—including pet loss, life transitions, and the emotional weight that comes with loving deeply. My work is rooted in the belief that grief is not something to “move on” from, but something we learn to hold with care, compassion, and meaning over time.

Together, we create a space that is steady and nonjudgmental—where your story is honored, your emotions are welcomed, and your pace is respected. There is no timeline here, no pressure to feel differently than you do.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded. I draw from evidence-based practices while honoring the deeply personal nature of grief. This may include gentle grounding techniques, meaning-making, and creating ways to stay connected to the love that remains. Above all, I believe in meeting each client exactly where they are.

If you are navigating grief and looking for a space that feels understanding, steady, and compassionate, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
