Professional statement

Keeley works with adults whose symptoms are rooted in unresolved trauma, chronic stress, or experiences that overwhelmed their nervous system over time. Many of her clients are women who function well externally but live with persistent anxiety, intrusive thoughts, emotional reactivity, or a sense of being “stuck” despite years of insight-oriented work. They often come to therapy knowing why they feel the way they do, yet find that understanding alone has not led to meaningful relief.

Her clinical work is primarily grounded in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Keeley uses EMDR to target both acute and cumulative trauma, including relational trauma, workplace trauma, and long-standing patterns shaped by instability, pressure, or emotional unpredictability. Treatment focuses on how past experiences are stored in the nervous system and how those memory networks continue to drive present-day responses, even when circumstances have changed. EMDR is used to reduce physiological reactivity, loosen entrenched beliefs, and restore a felt sense of safety and self-trust.

While EMDR is the foundation of her work, Keeley integrates psychodynamic, attachment-based, ACT, CBT, and REBT-informed approaches to support cognitive integration, behavioral shifts, and meaning-making. This allows therapy to move efficiently—helping clients understand what changed internally as trauma is processed and how to apply that change in daily life. Sessions are active and intentional, designed for clients who want depth without endless exploration.

Keeley has over 15 years of experience in psychotherapy, research, and clinical leadership, with specialized experience working with trauma, OCD, neurodivergence, and high-achieving adults. She brings a steady, direct style to the work and is known for helping clients feel oriented, grounded, and less reactive rather than emotionally managed.

She offers in-person sessions in Brooklyn and virtual therapy for clients located in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida.

Message to clients

When you work with me, you’re not signing up to retell your entire life story or spend months circling the same insight. You’re coming in because something in your life, career, or relationships needs to function better—and you want a therapist who can meet the level you operate at. I treat your time, energy, and investment with respect. We get clear on what you want to see change, and we move toward that from the first session.

My approach is straightforward and strategic. I’ll name the patterns that are pulling at you, help you see what’s driving them, and give you tools and interventions that actually shift things in your day-to-day life. EMDR, ACT, CBT, and REBT aren’t buzzwords in my practice—they’re the frameworks I use to create traction, resolve the experiences that still hijack your system, and help you get out of habits that don’t match the woman you are now. I move quickly, I don’t tiptoe, and I don’t waste sessions.

My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you get results you can feel—more bandwidth, fewer internal negotiations, stronger boundaries, and relief from patterns you’ve been managing for years. You don’t need help seeing your worth; you already have that. You’re here because you want things to work better, and you want a therapist who can keep pace. If that’s the kind of work you’re looking for, we’ll be a good fit.

Therapist's note

Before we get started, I want to make the logistics as smooth as possible so you can focus on the work we're here to do. I use a service called Thrizer to simplify payments. If you have out-of-network benefits, Thrizer allows you to pay just your co-insurance at the time of our session—instead of paying my full fee upfront and waiting on your insurance to reimburse you. Once your deductible is met, Thrizer covers the remaining balance and handles the insurance paperwork for you. You’ll just need to set up a Thrizer account, add your insurance details, and connect a payment method.
