Professional statement

Keeley partners with adults whose symptoms stem from unresolved trauma, chronic stress, or experiences that gradually overwhelmed their nervous system. Many of her clients are women who appear highly capable outwardly yet contend with ongoing anxiety, intrusive thoughts, emotional reactivity, or a lingering sense of being “stuck” despite years of insight-driven work. They often arrive understanding why they feel as they do, but find that insight alone hasn’t translated into real, lasting relief.

Her clinical approach is primarily anchored in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Keeley applies EMDR to address both acute and layered trauma, including relational wounds, workplace stress, and enduring patterns shaped by instability, pressure, or emotional inconsistency. Treatment centers on how past experiences are encoded in the nervous system and how those memory networks continue to shape present-day reactions, even when circumstances have shifted. EMDR helps calm physiological responses, loosen deeply held beliefs, and rebuild a genuine sense of safety and self-trust.

While EMDR serves as the core of her work, Keeley also weaves in psychodynamic, attachment-based, ACT, CBT, and REBT-informed methods to support cognitive integration, behavioral change, and meaning-making. This integrative style allows therapy to move with purpose—helping clients track what shifts internally as trauma is processed and how to carry those changes into everyday life. Sessions are focused and engaged, ideal for clients seeking depth without getting lost in endless exploration.

Keeley brings over 17 years of experience across psychotherapy, research, and clinical leadership, with particular expertise in trauma, OCD, neurodivergence, and high-achieving adults. Her style is steady and direct, with an emphasis on helping clients feel more grounded, clear, and less reactive in their day-to-day lives.

She offers in-person sessions in Brooklyn as well as virtual therapy for clients in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida.

Message to clients

When you work with me, you’re not signing up to retell your entire life story or spend months circling the same insight. You’re here because something in your life, career, or relationships needs to work better—and you want a therapist who can meet you at your level. I treat your time, energy, and investment with respect. We get clear on what you want to shift, and we move toward that from the very first session.

My approach is direct and strategic. I’ll identify the patterns that are pulling at you, help you understand what’s driving them, and offer tools and interventions that create real change in your day-to-day life. EMDR, ACT, CBT, and REBT aren’t just buzzwords in my practice—they’re the frameworks I use to build momentum, resolve the experiences that still hijack your system, and help you move out of habits that no longer reflect who you are. I move efficiently, I’m honest, and I don’t let sessions drift.

My goal is for therapy to feel like a place where you experience results—more capacity, less internal friction, clearer boundaries, and relief from patterns you’ve been managing for years. You don’t need help recognizing your worth; you already have that. You’re here because you want things to function better, and you want a therapist who can keep up. If that’s the kind of work you’re looking for, we’ll likely be a strong fit.

Therapist's note

Before we get started, I want to make the logistics as smooth as possible so you can focus on the work we're here to do. I use a service called Thrizer to simplify payments. If you have out-of-network benefits, Thrizer allows you to pay just your co-insurance at the time of our session—instead of paying my full fee upfront and waiting on your insurance to reimburse you. Once your deductible is met, Thrizer covers the remaining balance and handles the insurance paperwork for you. You’ll just need to set up a Thrizer account, add your insurance details, and connect a payment method.
