Professional statement

Kelly Gant is an LPCC and trauma-informed yoga teacher who works with clients in Denver and Evergreen that feel caught in cycles of anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, or shutdown that make it hard to live fully or feel like themselves. Some clients have spent years in talk therapy and understand their patterns well, while others are newer to therapy and simply notice that their body feels tense, disconnected, or constantly on guard. When insight alone hasn’t brought the relief clients have hoped for, it can feel exhausting and discouraging. Kelly offers a supportive space to slow down and gently explore what’s happening beneath the surface.

Kelly’s approach is person-centered, holistic, and deeply attuned. Grounded in evidence-based neuroscience, Kelly integrates somatic psychology, EMDR, mindfulness, Gestalt therapy, parts work, and creative exploration. Therapy is collaborative and flexible rather than prescriptive, allowing sessions to unfold based on what feels most supportive for a client's nervous system in the moment.

Healing is not a straight line, and Kelly honors the natural rhythm of stops, starts, and shifts along the way. With an embodied, nervous-system–informed lens, therapy focuses on helping clients feel safe, supported, and resourced. From this place of regulation, space opens for curiosity, self-compassion, and meaningful change to emerge at a pace that feels right.

Message to clients

When you work with me, you can expect a collaborative and creative process. I often describe my role as a kind of guide or GPS. You bring the wisdom of your lived experience, and together we identify possible “trailheads” to explore, whether through body awareness, memory reprocessing, creative expression, or exploring how you relate to yourself and others.

Some paths may feel immediately supportive, while others take time to unfold. My role is to help you orient along the way, stay resourced, and move at a pace that feels manageable, always with the intention of reducing suffering and cultivating more ease.

Sessions may involve talking, mindful awareness, gentle movement, grounding practices, or memory reprocessing, depending on what feels most supportive in the moment. Throughout our work, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, supported, with me alongside you as your own inner clarity and capacity for healing continue to arise.
