Professional statement

Ken came to counseling after an impactful 25-year career in corporate America. Over time, he felt called to work more directly with people in ways that were meaningful, relational, and grounded in healing. His path into this profession has also been shaped by lived experience with childhood trauma, loss, recovery, and healing through human connection, which allows me to bring empathy, humility, and real-world perspective to his work.

His counseling style is warm, direct, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. He integrates CBT, person-centered, Adlerian concepts, and multicultural awareness to support the whole person, not just the symptoms. He believes people can change, grow, and reconnect with their strengths, even in the middle of pain, hopelessness, uncertainty, or feeling stuck.

He's especially drawn to working with adults with childhood trauma facing struggles with alcohol/drug use, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, grief, identity concerns, self-esteem struggles, and major life transitions. Therapy does not have to be perfect to be helpful - it just has to be honest.
